Because Lada 1200 Combi wasn't enough.
The car model was based on my NFS ProStreet mod that adds this very car into that game. Then I decided to backport this mod into NFS Most Wanted. The reason? Well, two VAZ-2101 mods I could find were of atrocious quality, as both of them were converted from GTA. My VAZ-2101 is based on Lada Racing Club's model.
However, it won't be 1:1 port since I had extended customization in mind. While the car retains most of LRC customization, I ported Lada 1200 Combi's kits onto its sedan model. Though the model for bodykits do need some adjustments, though, since these kits were originally made for Moscow Racer USSR's VAZ-2102 rather than LRC's VAZ-2101. The only kit I did not port from VAZ-2102 was "Snyper" kit (a simple front splitter), as it will be replaced by Oil Cooler from GTA Online's RUNE Cheburek (which itself is based on VAZ-2106). Hood models are also different, with hood bra being one of few options that is common between Lada 1200s and Lada 1200 Combi.
Aside from hoods, vinyls, spoilers, and taillight customization options are completely different compared to VAZ-2102 due to different (yet similar) UV mapping and different rear section. There's only 1 taillights style for VAZ-2101 compared VAZ-2102's two, and these are custom taillights from LRC itself. Also this car receives new "Roof Spoiler" attachment slot, in which you can install either custom roof spoiler or window louvre as it was featured on LRC's VAZ-2101. VAZ-2101 features three different spoilers, two taken from my NFSPS mod, and one coming from LRC, but it also supports vanilla spoiler customization support, just like many other Russian vehicles made for this game. Decals customization and damage scratches are yet to be done. Also, most of the data, including DBModelParts, is based on Lada 1200 Combi, though with some adjustments and alterations.
And no, I didn't cancel my Acura Integra LS. The interest of working on it was overshadowed by the interest of working on it this Lada, as I'm becoming of more of a Russian vehicles guy.
